One thing about me I’m a proud exact / under packer. Whenever I’m going anywhere, I plan exactly what I need, and I don’t take any emergency stuff. Is that dumb or is that smart?
Regardless I am who I am and when I was planning what meals to make on my getaway, I knew I wanted to try something fancy and that I’ve never had or made, and I knew I wasn’t going to walk with my entire cabinet.
So only two spices made the list for my Surf and Turf celebratory dinner. Judine Organics Sorrel Rosemary Garlic Spice which is amazing when paired with red meat and would work out amazingly for my Steak and I also brought Judine Organics Garlic Jerk All Purpose Spice which I knew from experience would be great on my Shrimp.
I can’t recall if I’ve ever had steak before this instance, but I knew I’ve never made it before, and I was a little intimidated as there was no plan B and I wanted it to be perfect for our celebratory dinner. First thing I did when we got to our Cabin was rub down my Steak in the Sorrel Rosemary Garlic Spice and some salt and put that thick meat up till the next day.
I came to realize Steak is pretty easy to cook just make sure you thaw it out properly especially if you’re going to cook it whole. When I was ready, I heated my pan with butter and popped it in there. I added butter as needed and eventually added two springs of rosemary. Once it was well done, I put it on a plate to cool because apparently that step was important and voila that’s it for my Turf. I was so excited to eat it because the aromas coming off my pot was heavenly; I was sure I was in for a burst of flavors.
I’ve cooked shrimp a million times and I always use Judine Organics spices either their Seafood Spice or in this case the Organics Garlic Jerk All Purpose Spice so I knew it would be a hit. I sautéed my pre-seasoned shrimp and then I added some Prego Alfredo sauce because again I'm not walking with all the ingredients to make Alfredo from scratch. But my secret ingredient when using store bought pasta sauces is always Judine Organics to give it that from scratch homemade flavor. The potent Garlic Jerk All Purpose Spice was just what I needed to jazz my Surf up!
Everybody knows how to make mashed potatoes and sauté veggies. Now it’s time to get to the plating...

I know it looks mouthwatering and I’m so sorry to tell you it tasted BOMB, and you never get none. Sorrows sorrows prayers because boy this steak was seasoned to perfection with literally one spice blend! Complemented by the Alfredo shrimp you’d think I cut up a bagga fresh herbs and spices and made this meal. It was chef's kiss!
God bless the hands of Judine Organics! If I could do this with just two spices imagine what you could do stocking your cabinet with Judine Organics.
