Valentines with your partner is fun and all but let’s be honest valentines if for the girlies and nothing is more fun than Galentines. So me and my work girlies loaded up the chick mobile and hit the highway with windows down and our hair blowing in the wind to May Pen, Clarendon.
The highway is such a blessing that made Clarendon seem like a 15 min drive (it was actually 40 mins ) to get us to The Yard Bar and Grill. As a group we’ve been scoping out this place because one party of our group lives in Clarendon and we wanted no excuses to celebrate our lady loves.

Gifts in hand, we were seated at a table in the upstairs section which I think was much louder than down stairs because we were by the DJ booth and speakers but it was the right kind of outdoor openness to kikiki (Jamaican term for laughing and chatting ) and vibing to the music. I loved the wooden chairs and finishes enhanced by the string lights over the umbrellas. You can tell much thought was put into the layout and ambience and I love that.

It didn’t take long for us to get our meals and clearly it was a seafood night minus 1 person who order chicken. I really enjoyed my meal which was a brown stew whole fish with a side of one the best Mac and cheese I’ve had, creamy and cheesy and pleasantly surprised that I was seasoned and had a hint of spice to it ! The fish was perfectly seasoned and huge paired with a typically good Long Island Tea to get me all buzzy.

My 7k bill plus toll money was well spent and I definitely need to go back with bae when we feel for somn nice and a likkle drive out !
