Hello Friends :)
I'm thrilled to share my recent Galentines celebration at the chic Mystic Thai Restaurant. Picture this: Miami vibes, tantalizing aromas, and the laughter of my amazing girlfriends filling the air.
Upon entering Mystic Thai, the ambiance immediately transported us to a tropical haven. With its vibrant décor and laid-back atmosphere, it felt like a slice of Miami right here in Kingston. The perfect backdrop for our Galentines rendezvous.
Now, let's dive into the main event – the food. Mystic Thai boasts a menu that promises an authentic Thai experience, and for the most part, it delivered in my opinion... I mean I'm no Thai Food Expert. Our table ordered the Mystic Salmon Roll, the Tamarind Chili Fish with Stir Fried Vegetable Noodles the Wok Tossed Chicken with Rice and the California. Topped off with some drinks because what's a Galentine's Day without drinks! I got the Rose Sangria which was very refreshing with just the right kick.
The real kicker was the prices, having paid $9,600 for my order I would say their price range was medium-high in comparison to other restaurants, but food is my weakness. A little detail to note the sides and main courses are definitely sharable like that of other Asian Restaurants so the table could split it when ordering. I'd pay any price for a new food experience, and it was worth the price based on my overall experience.
However, it wouldn't be a true dining experience without a little twist. Our server, while friendly and attentive, mixed up my girlie and I's food orders. I ordered the Tamarind Chili Fish and she ordered the Wok Tossed Chicken. You would think we knew the difference between fish and chicken but it wasn't until I tasted her meal the red flags started waving that I definitely got the chicken and she the fish. These were supposed to be two different meals based off the description, but they looked the same and tasted the same the only difference was the texture between the chicken and the fish.
Though the server's interaction with us was good otherwise it was somewhat disappointing our meal was mixed up and all we got was a mere "I'm sorry" when its customary to receive a gesture of goodwill for their error. We all enjoyed our meals, and this did not daunt on our night of good girl time though!
My personal highlight was the Love is Blind Goblets! Lol silly I know but it felt like we were girls in the Girls HQ
In the end, our Galentines celebration at Mystic Thai was a success. The Miami-inspired ambiance, delectable Thai cuisine, and the unexpected food swap created a memorable experience. If you're in Kingston and craving a taste of Thailand with a side of Miami vibes, Mystic Thai is worth a visit.
Until next time, foodies! Stay hungry and keep exploring the culinary wonders of our beautiful island.
